Martians from Italy

In 1941, America and Italy had tensions, even though America was not in the War against Italy yet. During this year, Mussolini gave a speech stating how America “care more about attack from ‘Martians’ (extra-terrestrial civilization which could land on Earth in the crafts that people have never seen), than about the Axis forces“. At the time no one knew if Mussolini was making a joke or talking about something else that he had information on. The funny part was that between 1933 and 1936, Italy had done research on Martians existing, with the help of Cabinet RS/33 led by Marconi.
