Miethe Disc

Miethe Disc

Miech invented a very unique design of propulsion system that was based on the work of Karl Nowak. Dr. Nowak was a physician from Austria. Their design involved the use of nitrogen and oxygen, to create hot air needed for propulsion, with a process of oxidizing nitrogen. Both of these necessary elements came from air outside of the craft. The motor of this craft needed an ignition system that operated at a similar power rage as lighting. Since the motor produced so much heat, it used helium, from the air, to cool itself and to aid in thrusting once it became heated, much like a closed cycle rocket engine.

This design was later patented after World War 2 by Bruno Schwenteit. This was claimed to be based off of the Miethe Disc technology, which he labeled as the V-7. He made claims that the Nazis built this device during the War, yet no photographic evidence exist.
