The Battle of Britain

During the battle of Britain, Germany suffered heavy losses in its bomber fleet. This prompted Hermann Goring to look for alternative measures, for better aviation craft. Goring promoted the idea of flying saucers to Hitler as a new type of secret weapon, that could be used to turn the war against the allies. Unfortunately, Hitler was more focused on other type of secret weapons such as missile and flying bombs. However, Goring was still permitted to be done in secret.
