Messerschmitt heard about the incident involving the AS-6 and proposed having their own team work with Sack on his design, Sack didn’t want to work with anyone. This prompted Messersmitt to make their own design of the same concept, under the designation of Me-600. This new design, Me-600, would be much larger than the previous AS-6. It would also feature a more modern fuselage, with DB 605 ASCM/DCM, which would produce 2,000 hp. This new would also redesigned propeller, reposition landing gears, improved surface controls, a new design of tail, and the ability for an armament consisting of Mk-108 canons. Messersmit even conducted wind tunnel test, which simulated 500mph conditions, which proved the Me-600 could be a formidable fighter at high speeds.

With the end of the war and Germany coming closer and closer, the Me-600 never went airborne. In April 1945, the two crafts, the Me-600 and the AS-6, were destroyed as the American troops advanced towards Brandis airport. No trace of these aircraft has ever been found.
