Winfried Otto Schumann was another great man of science and was also a professor who works at the Technical University of Munich. He is a well-known German Scientist, but he worked on the levitation systems for the world’s first flying saucers.
Earlier on in life, he was an electrical engineer, who served on the German side during World War 1. After World War 1, he became a professor who works at the Technical University of Munich.

While the Thule Society was working on JFM or Jenseitsflugmachine, Schumann was involved. He invented the “SM-Levitator,” which was the levitation device for JFM. He did work on it from 1922 to 1924, until the project was disbanded thanks to the Beerhall Putsch.
Schumann had to stop working with the Thule Society and go underground. He continued his work. He kept working as a professor and became director of the Electrophysical Laboratory. In 1930’s Hitler and the Nazis tried to revive industry, and flying saucers were among many of them. Schumann was contacted and was requested to restart his flying saucer research. He was given room to work and test ground outside of the Arado factory in Brandenburg. This would make Brandenburg the third flying saucer facility the Nazis had.
After World War Two, Winfried Schumann was sent to America as part of an operation paperclip, even though he had no real ties to rocketry. In public domain people can read about Winfried Schumann but find nothing about him besides his career teaching and electrical work. Maybe he was America’s first flying saucer expert.
